Actually I get a lot of "odd ball stuff" and order from the USA all the time but this a.m. I tried to order a charger from Chief Aircraft and they said I would need to fax them a copy of my Visa statement. I told them they were crazy. So I'm shying away from the US until I get over my "hissy fit" as Judge Judy would call it.

No I guess so I could prove that the credit card # was in fact mine. If there is one thing I won't do is fax my card # out so everyone can see it. I know, I know, there is no absolutely secure way but on a fax nooooo way.

Where I live everything including groceries have to be bought over the computer but I have never been asked to fax my cedit card statement to anyone before - maybe they just wanted tp pay it for me.

http://www.paypal.com might be a better way to go if they taking paypal. You can use credit card via paypal.

money orders by Expresspost are nice and secure and only take 3 days...downside though is that you have no recourse if unhappy with the product or it doesn't arrive at all (seldom the case with reputable firms)...Ron

I have a Pay Pal account but I don't believe they take it. They missed out on a $400.00 US order anyway. I e-mailed asking if this was in fact true but they haven't even answered that yet so maybe I'm better off not doing business with them.

I calmed down a bit and ordered from Peak Electronics in Arizona and had a very pleasant experience.

I just got an e-mail from Chief Aircraft stating "it will probably be OK if I send it to my billing address" which I was doing anyway. I told him to check under his toilet seat in the morning he might find my order there.

Good to hear you found a source to purchase your charger. Hope they not sending it via U.P.S.. USPS would be cool..

As for the toilet seat thing.. :P nevermind...
