Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

No but it is more realistic from reports by owners. I see them saying that 3W's don't really start to become really broken in until 15-20 gallons.
What a crappy day here again. Raining like a bugger. I am going to start growing moss out of my ears soon.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

They use the same pictures in almost all the the manuals. Especially the ones of the throttle linkage.

Yeah Doug this rain sucks. Can't go to work can't fly. Sounds like some sun for us this weekend though

Great news for you - should be broken in an a few afternoons at 12-20hrs However that's 4-5 years for some of the others out there!! (and John and I won't name names)

This motor came with the original owners manual, a real plus. I bought a new in the box GP176, GP123. No manual. Look it up on line. But there was no computer in the box? My ZDZ 90 RV-J came with a written set of instructions.

I'm geared up, and charged for a break in the drizzle. Planning on some flying today.

I was 80% thinking of the trip to Houston. But I get to star as "Grand-pa" at a 5yr olds birthday party.
Hmm, the little bugger didn't come to mine.
