So why wouldn't you 2 cave men be classing and running the ZDZ 180 in the same 100cc class being it's as light as some 100cc engines?

Lorne I can understand the crazy engineers thinking, but yours? Or did you miss your calling for an engineers position?????
LOL!! Since when is a 180 the same weight as the 100cc class??!!! Plus they take much bigger exhaust and would never fit under the cowl of a 100cc plane. Not even remotely the same class

But they are a beautiful motor GO ZDZ !!!!!

PS... I get the ZDZ56 this Friday night - WOOT!!!

LOL!

Well if cc's doesn't matter i can't see that there's any merit in the exhaust size difference.

Wasn't it you claiming the MVVS 116 weighed as much as a DA 150? Doesn't the 180 weigh about the same. I think the older 3W 120's had quite a bit of pork behind (for you Ken) them as well. So you might as well lump the whole works together, even the Zenoah 62 and 80!!

Can't wait for the testing to start on the 56...

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

We have a conclusion. There are really only 4 classes. Singles, twins, quads and radials. Nothing else matters. Sub classes are NFG, Chint, runs ok, runs good, runs great and buttermilk smooth.
