Yup same thing happened to me. I still have half my fleet on 72 and it still works great. Just as reliable as my 2.4 ghz stuff

If you have no use for the 72 mhz stuff, you could always give it away to a young flyer just starting out that can't afford the new 2.4 ghz equip. Just make sure to properly school them on how to safely use the 72 mhz equipment so they don't shoot anyone down
