Are you trying to use front or rear dump cans Dale? If I remember correctly both Doug and Jack weren't real happy about the tunnel on that bird.

No tunnel on a Comp ARF.
You have the whole stinking empty hull to work with.
Oh, but the landing gear are at one level across the Hull. And the wing tube is at a different level. Only a guess, say 1.5 inches to shoot a straight line aft.
I'm using front dump cans. Right behind the wing tube (proposed).
