For what's its worth, here's a photo of the Demon installed in my Slick. I mounted the Demon on a plastic plate, using the supplied foam tape and then screwed the entire unit to the aircraft. In this way, I can unbolt the plate from the Slick and drop it into my other airframes without the need to ruin the mounting tape. The front of the aircraft is to the top of the photo.

Re: Bavarian Demon Cortex

That looks really good! Nice and clean. With mine i can run just a single R3 sat from Jeti and less wires

Are you using 2 wires for power or just a single ?

Re: Bavarian Demon Cortex

The BD Cortex manual specifies that, at a minimum, you need to run two power cables (the full red, black white [Futaba] servo leads/plugs) and the one single grey signal plug. The single grey plug is used two switch the gain on the transmitter from "rate" mode to "off" or "heading hold" mode. The two power connectors also do double duty a the signals for two of the stabilized surfaces, i.e. elevator, aileron or rudder. I hope that this doesn't sound confusing - it really is far simpler than I can describe. Have look at the attached PDF file. You'll note that wires A & B carry power and the signal wires. In my case lead "A" was connected to Left Aileron, "B" to elevator (single servo), "C" to Right Aileron, "D" to rudder and "AUX (grey)" to transmitter gain adjust/select. That left me with one signal wire not used, the green wire. If your aircraft had a dual elevator servos set-up, that's were you would use the last (green) signal wire.

Yeah i know how to wire them. Mine will have 2-3 wires for power. When you run them in PPM mode you only need one receiver wire

Re: Bavarian Demon Cortex

For those that may be interested, the BD Cortex is on sale right now (Black Friday) at Esprit Model for $307.12 U.S; shipped to you door is $380.23 Canadian barring any duties or taxes that may be tacked on (my last order from them did not incur any additional charges).

Yup, and that puts the Demon at my door for $428.48, almost $40.00 more than the unit purchased from Esprit.
