Pizazz Questions

Where is the CG on the pizazz? And what should I have the rates as for the first flight! I have a T6XAS Futaba radio

Chris,
From my manual for the Pizazz:

Balance point is 3 1/4 to 3 3/4 inches behind the leading edge of the wing. Try 3 1/4 first and move it back a bit when you feel comfortable.

Throws are: (low rates, for starters...)

ailerons: 5/8" up and down
elevator: 1 1/2" up and down
rudder: 2 3/8" left and right
flaperons: 7/8" up and down

Hogh rates are as wild as you want to go. Increase a BIT at a time untill you feel like you are happy.

Chris,
No problem.

May I ask what engine you are going to use?

Remember, that plane can be quite mild at low rates, and is an honest, go where you point it, type plane.

BUT, if you increase the rates a lot, and bring the CG back to the rearward point it can manouver very fast, so take it easy and build up to it.

Its an excellent flying plane!

Id not put a 60 in there.... too big and heavy. Use a 40 or 46.... trust me!

A 60 will make it heavier and you will lose the slow flight characteristics.

One person at brm said that he bought one and the first flight it went deadstick and it caused him to crash his plane. I dont know if he broke it in wrong or if he just had it tuned wrong and if that caused the crash. get a v-max those seem to be pritty good!

pizzaz

an engine that makes this plane haul is an o.s .70 fourstroke....it just keeps going straight up...also i like how it keeps the plane in a nice solid hover...... as for the throws...first flight have your dual rates set up so that when you need more throw(lets say somethings going bad..) then you can get it but as andrew wrote make those rates the ones you use for its first flight, this plane is an awsome plane to fly, if you put too much elevatore output on the plane then you can quite easily stal it at low speeds...perticularily around take off. if i were you once your comfy with the plane have rates set up for take off/landing and rates set up for in-flight.

that probably didnt help any...
