Did Ed Smith use the expression "Slow Down"?

Say it isn't so…

It was not without pangs of pain that I used that expression. However it was starting to look as if I was taking credit for somebody elses work. Being a man of integrity I could not let that happen.

Re: Wishfull Thinking

Great looking plane that's for sure.
It's always nice to be there in person to see something like this fly.

Re: Wishfull Thinking

Hi Ed,

Wishfull Thinking ! Tell me about it ! ! !

I remember visiting a Pylon Race in Brantford area (a Ginsing farm) 20yrs ago. The Rossi.40s sang so sweet, but were very expensive for us, (A very sweet engine, soon to be outclassed by the Nelsons) and too noisy for our home fields. (we tried.)

It was a Great Q500 Race. I think part of a Can/Am Challenge.

Still, one of the best organized R/C events I have ever been to.
(Safety/adrenaline/crowd entertaining)

Weather conditions prevented the Formula 1 (scale) flying.

Didn't stop them from firing up some increadable rear exhaust short pipe .40s on God knows how much Nitro... WOW ! ! !

I am sure Ed must have been there tweaking the needles... (that is why I like him so much! ! !)

I have a (broken in, ready to rock)Taipan.15 and a HOB Pylon Wing kit that I bought in Toledo...in 1974... Anyone want to Race? ?
Quarter Midget Racing would still be cool...

Pylon Racing must be one of the hardest/most challenging forms of flying model airplanes.

There is no fooling around when you fly a plane that fast. And cut Pylons closer to get to the finish line First !

Wishfull Thinking? How about Dreaming?

Hope to meet up with you, again, one day Ed...

Take care,
Have fun,
