Savox servos

Considering putting savox servos into my slightly used hanger nine 35% extra. Just looking for some opinions from some modelers that have experience with them. They seem to have great torque and the price is good too. Or info on what you have out in a similar would be great. I have some hitec 7955,5945 and 5645 laying around. Thanks Phil

Re: Savox servos

Hi Phil,
I have been using Savox since last summer when I started having issues with some of my Hitec servos.
I still use some Hitecs. But for the most part I'm almost all Savox.
I like them. They are fast and seem to put out their rated torque.

I have them in my 60cc Slick on the ailerons, elevators and throttle.
I have a Hitec on the rudder currently. But it will be replaced this fall as its starting the famous Hitec Jitter.

I have Savox 1256's on the ailerons and elevators. They are Titanium gear and 286 oz / 6v
The thottle is a 1251 low profile. 110 oz andreally fast.

I also have them in my 50% Ultimate biplane.
1258's x 8 on the ailerons
1283's x2 on the elevators
1251's x 2 for throttle and choke.
The rudder is 2 Hitec 7990's.
They have been rock solid all summer in the big bipe. And the others in my 60cc have been going since last summer. This is the second plane they have been in. It is flown at least 9 to 12 solid flights a week of IMAC and 3d. They have never missed a beat. I did strip out a servo arm though.

Cheers

Re: Savox servos

I've got a few also and really like them!! Have flown a ton with Brad this summer and, as he said above, they're all rock-solid!!

Jeff at Thunderbolt has a great selection of them and awesome prices!!

Cheers

Re: Savox servos

Thanks for the info. I am thinking of getting the servo arms that clamp on so they shouldn't strip . If they put out their rated power I think the wallet is going to take another beating. I phoned thunderbolt earlier yesterday and I think I found someone that can out talk me. Seems like a great guy. Guess he will be getting a order tommorrow.

Re: Savox servos

Phil, Are you trying to say the 260 is not air born yet? I was so hoping for a video soon

Re: Savox servos

Haha. I should have been close but you sold me too nice of a plane. I just couldn't throw anything at it like I had intended. I ordered a full set of flight surface servos from thunderbolt today and some other goodies. Now I got a bunch of servos suitable for a 50cc left over. Hmmmm.

Re: Savox servos

One should never have too many idle servos... or engines flying shelves...

Please take a video when you get around to flying it, I am quite anxious to see.

I call BS on some one out yaking you by the way LOL
