Re: Your favourite RC Mag (the poll)

Sorry guys, I couldn't remember to put FLY RC in the poll never mind a heli mag!

And there is the point that (as far as I know) heli's don't use much glue anyway, at least our kind.

But of course. How much CA do you use to assemble a heli??

It's a poll of the available choices. Your favourite magazine really has got nothing to do with it. You are asked to select your preference only from the options listed, not what is available on the market and what may be your preference form that much larger pool.

The other interesting thing about this pole is that it has nothing to do with actual consumption (readership, purchases) of that magazine. You may find that everyone pics MAN as a favourite but nobody actually purchases it or reads it.

What you really need is to put your ads into a mag that will reach your target audience and preferably the one that reaches the largest chunk of your target audience.

Years ago, that's why I put my ads into MAN and bypassed RCM. My target was an international audience and MAN delivered the goods. RCM had predominantly a US and Canadian audience.

Ad rates are based on distribution volumes. They increase with higher distriution numbers. But what does it matter if that mag goes to a million people or more when not one of them is in my target audience? I'd just be paying them to keep their publishing hobby afloat.

What MAN has become in the meantime, especially with the demise of RCM, is something else entirely.
