Yikes... 11:20pm already! Where did the night go!

Stab and rudder sheeting is all edge glued! Tomorrow I'll sand them all and get them ready for lamination to the cores!

Looks like the dust police will be on the prowl tomorrow

Re: 126" Carden Extra 260 w/DA170 RE3

Stab sheeting is all sanded and the 3M 30NF has been applied to the skins (2 coats) and each side of the cores (1 coat).

It's just drying right now and I'll do the lamination in a 1/2 hour.

Weight of left core and both skins before the glue was 6.1oz... we'll see how much the glue adds!

Trev that paint roller looks awefully small compared to the stabs. I hope its a mini roller and not a standard size? lol

Re: 126" Carden Extra 260 w/DA170 RE3

The stab skins are laminated on the cores!

Weight of left core and both skins was 5.9oz

Weight after lamination was 7.8oz.

Therefore 3M 30NF glue added 1.9oz per stab. This is about 1 - 1.5oz lighter than using Probond, which will make a big difference on the CG adjustment (in a positive way). Just the glue saved the equivalent of one rudder servo in the tail and there's more weight saved than if I cored the foam and used Ultimate glue.

After the lamination was done, I passed the iron over the skins to "heat set" the glue!

I'm in love with this 30NF!!
