Yea, pretty sure I'm looking toward the Savage 5.9. Bigger is better.

Beginner here.

So, I flew R/C Airplanes for 10 or 11 years, and I stopped around 5 or 6 years ago, and I picked up motorcycling. I still have all of my airplanes, well they are mine and my dads. We discussed selling all of our airplane equipment and buying 2 R/C truck or car. I've been looking strongly into the HPI Savage X 4.6, Savage XL, and the HPI firestorm 10T. I've looking at youtube videos and stuff like that, and the Savages look very impressive, loooks very durable, tough. How does the firestorm compare to the Savage, and which is better for a beginner. The Firestorm is cheaper, but I don't believe the price of either is going to be the problem. I Just want something forgiving, and something I'm not going to get bored of quickly.

Re: Beginner here.

Hey thanks for the replies. Going to put our planes on Kijjiji, hopefully we have some bites.

Now, Let's say I buy a Savage XL kit with the 5.9 engine in it... What else should I buy extra with it. Should I buy any parts just incase, glow plugs are a given. I already have a glow driver, and stuff like that.

Re: Beginner here.

Go for the Traxxas Slash brushless. Wicked truck and very forgiving.

Re: Beginner here.

Here's another truck I found that I'm hoping I can have some input on. I found this truck on the net, it has a 7.7cc engine, it's called the Genesis 7.7 Super Monster truck. It's 1/8th scale. Anyone heard if this one, or seen one.
