16-17 June E.D.F. event in Ottawa
Yes
 its this time again  We have a brand new paved runway to accommodate ALL size of Jets. We have big parking for cars and trailers. A " Chips wagon " will be on site all day for drinks and snacks. I hope Dave & Trevor have replenished the empty spots in the trailer. Let the bragging begin.
That black object a bit above & behind the tail fin is the motor & fan exiting stage right. But even though that plane didn't set the fastest time Trevor still took the trophy home. Hope to see you guys again this year.

Was out flying at Rideau Flyers field Sunday afternoon the runway is bare with a few puddles as temps got into the teens - So nice to be flying on wheels again. Ken

I'm glad the runway is already in service, ready for me to go test some jet. Yesterday I flew @ home : big glider and the Funjet : twin props very fast on 3S ( good training)

Can you outline the EDF speed contest rules ? Is there an unlimited class? We have a club member at MMFC that is determined to go to warp drive !!!

You know , i 'm not very good with rules! But anybody can try in the 3 class 70 mm 90mm Unlimited 100/110/120 mm and beyond.
It's simple : Saturdays when you are ready for speed with you Jet you will speak with the men with radar or Iphone . Make two pass . Ken or I we will spoke about safety @ the pilot meeting Saturday morning. Where to make those pass etc... I was not planning to have a speed contest , but it's fun with off course safety in mind! |
