I have to agree.

A couple of years ago, I purchased a plane with a DA-50 from a fellow club member. We could not get the engine to run at all. Finally sent it in to DA and they fixed it. And they upgraded it at the same time (it was one of the early engines.) All at no charge, 'cept the shipping to them.

Last month, I noticed that the engine did not sound right (loud clicking at idle.) Shipped the engine to to DA. Turns out that I probably mixed too little oil in my last batch. They had to replace the entire cylinder, the piston, piston ring and the wrist pin and clips. They also replaced the shielding on the spark plug wire, at my request. Total charge: $221.00 US (plus shipping.) Just got it back this week, but would have had it back a lot sooner if I had remembered to include my contact information. Silly me.

All in all, excellent service and reasonable repair costs.

Regards,
...jim
