Last year there was a fellow with a P51D that put on a show that was incredible. Most every maneuver was in the vertical - a pure energy show, and he was spot on. That guy knew how to handle that plane. I hope he's there again as that was worth the price of admission alone.
I hope the G20 or whatever it is doesn't effect the show (can you tell I don't read the newspaper and don't listen to the news)

No chance of that, unless Obama decides to pay a quick visit in Marine Corps One...

Getting back to the main topic of unofficial airshows and flypasts and such. Buttonville in RIchmond Hill/Markham usually gets visited by a Herkie out of Trenton about once a year. Not sure of the reason, but landings and take-offs are on a fairly short runway for the aircraft, so it's full STOL landing and propellor reversing as needed. LOUD!!! One year, I was woking in a building that overlooked the north end of the runway when the Herkie came in from the south, STOL/short-field landing, taxied up to the north end of the runway, rotated around on its mains (or looked like it had), and then proceeded to do an imitation of Jimmy Doolittle's take-off from "Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo" -- full brakes, shifted to full flaps, powered up to full throttle in flat pitch and then popped the brakes and advanced the pitch to max at the same time. Windows rattled across the 404, and he was airborned before he reached the runways intersection.

Only thing missing was the JATO units firing off.
