Re: Next Princeton jet together?

FYI, you need at least 5 flights on a jet if you want to fly at Whidbey, and there's no test flying after hours.

Does this mean you've changed your mind about going to Whidbey Jeremy? Get all the customs stuff sorted out?

I might be up for another day trip on the 15th or 16th, but its hard to say this far out.

Re: Next Princeton jet together?

To all our Canadian jet flyer friends - Al Watson and I, who are the CD's for this year's Jets Over Whidbey (Aug 28 - 30) event, want to clarify Kelly's above post. There is no requirement that you have to fly your jet 5 times prior to coming to Whidbey. Our rules state that you must have test flown your aircraft BEFORE you fly at a sanctioned event, but the rules do not specify a specific number of flights. What this rule does is prohibit maiden flights at a sanctioned flight. The other change we are making, is that you WILL be allowed to do test flights or maiden flights after the event is over EACH day. Al and I will close down the event at 5:00 each day (on Sun it is either 2 or 3 I believe) and then the field will be available for open flying.

Re: Next Princeton jet together?

Huh, I could have sworn Roy asked for a 5-flight minimum when I brought my F-16 down their a couple years ago. The only option was to try it out after the event was finished (ie ~late in the day on Sunday...)

Thanks for clarifying.

Re: Next Princeton jet together?

Never smooth, is it?
So far, the weather isn't looking too bad for either Saturday or Sunday. According to Environment Canada, a little better on Sunday. Sunday would be further away from the $hiddy weather on Friday.
