OK fellas... I'm thinking of doing an IMAC contest in Belleville next year. If the interest is high enough I'll make it a contest you won't forget... lotsa surprises involved!!!

Our field is outstanding... probably the largest runway you'll see in the contest season (except for Stoney Creek of course). The sun stays behind you until the late afternoon and the wind is nearly always right down the runway. There will be room for campers, tents, etc... though there are no hookups. The field is minutes from Sandbanks Provincial park, which boasts beautiful white sand beaches, perfect water for swimming, and lots of... ehem... "talent". Bring the fam and stay an extra day or two!

I'm not sure when the date will be, but I'll be getting with Bob as soon as I get the official blessing by the club to hold the event. So far it looks good.

As of right now... all I need to know is WILL YOU COME?

Jason if it has a chance of rain..Will you make it a 1 day event before we get there

No idea where i heard this from before

I think we always be interested in coming..silly questoin .Be interesting on the Dates though..I no Frank is talking about one also

going to be a busy 2007.. I think i need a tent..lol

I know I would come Jason.It comes down to picking a weekend wich is not being used up and hoping for the weather to co-operate.Summers are too short.

I take it that all the contests next year will be on roughly the same dates. I'm looking at the 3rd weekend in August.

Anyone see any issues with this?

I can't due earlier than June... our field is still drying out then.

Here are the SA dates in Ont from 2006.

Club 400 - Toronto June 3rd and 4th

Stoney Creek Hawks -Stoney Creek, Ontario June 17th and 18th

Flying Tigers Scale Aerobatic - Cayuga, Ontario July 8th and 9th

MAAC Scale Aerobatic Nationals - Montreal, QC July 29th and 30th

Northern Ontario IMAC Challenge - Sudbury, ON August 5th and 6th

Forest City Flyers - near London, Ontario Sept 2nd and 3rd

Chatham Aeronauts - Chatham, Ontario Sept 16th and 17th

I beleive there is an application for an SA NATS to be held at Club 400 in Mid Aug 2007. Looks like there would then be a void in July. Perhaps this could work out well?

That will likely conflict with the Nats proposal.

Please consider two week spacing between events if you can.

Club 400 will not be in June in 2007.

The third weekend of August is already planned be the MAAC Scale Aerobatic Nationals at Club 400

If your venue has a paved runway it might be a good location for early June ( replacement for CLub 400 2006 )

Mid July would also be good

How about this proposal for 2007 ?

Tillsonberg "primer" weekend OR season opener contest June 2nd and 3rd

Stoney Creek Hawks -Stoney Creek - June 16th and 17th
