Hi guys, I have a sc10 4x4 with a mamba max pro that flashes yellow apparently its a possible problem with esc -_- it still runs tho so I used it for a bit then it shut itself off, not sure why then i shake it and it wants to come back alive but he's kinda not sure lol. So now I'm not sure what to do 2 weeks ago i ran it in water so it would start at all anymore but i left it in rice and it came back alive so what I did is I waterproofed to make sure it doesn't happen again but the problem here is it worked perfectly waterproof until now ... What should I do ? I almost just wanna buy a rx8 instead and just waterproof it im kinda bored of this esc that keeps crashing all the time. Any ideas ?

the mmpro flashes yellow to show "cheat" mode is disabled, it's for some racing classes so the judges can see quickly that the person is not using timing boost.

Oh I see, but there is another issue then. Why is it intermitently shutting itself off then I shake it a lot and it comes back on sometimes or sometimes it just ring a couple sound and goes back off total black no led lite up :S

BTW if an esc isnt waterproof you cant "make" it waterproof.
count on it getting smoked if it gets too wet....

^ Not so. Conformal, liquid electrical tape, plasti-dip, and shoo-goo can all waterproof an esc with varying levels of effectiveness.

sebasadam it sounds like you have a bad connection, have you tried bypassing the on/off switch they are notorious for going bad or shutting off in a crash or rough landing on the castle ESC'S. (cut the switch off and solder the wires together or replace it with a new one)

if that doesn't help anything contact castle support, they will usually repair an esc for a fee (a lot less than buying a new unit )

as for a waterproof sensored ESC the only one on the market I've been able to find is the traxxas vxl 3s but after having the programmabilty of the castle esc's I'd have a hard time giving it up (I love the adjustable punch control and power output for tuning).

the fact that the sensor board on sensored motors is not waterproof makes a waterproof sensored esc kind of redundant.

if you're willing to switch over to sensorless the hobbywing wp-sc8 seems pretty decent and is as programmable as the castle units but a LOT cheaper
