Hotel rooms play a big part in the cost of a 3 day event. Plus all the "little misc costs" ....

Wow you guys can do it alot cheaper then me,

$120 per night average for a hotel room (dont want bed bugs lol)

Go out with the wife for at least 1 nice dinner $ 100

All the coffee and other snacks $ 50

Food for the rest of the weekend $ 100

Fuel for the Hemi $ 130 for 700km

Thats the costs without even having a prepped buggy/truggy or entry fees

For me its easy to drop at least $ 500 for a weekend

Costs for a 3-day verus's a one day race are really just the hotel & food. Depending on if you camp/trailer, or level of hotel this can be a really big swing.

Pretty much/every time I do a one-day club or regional race a bunch of us go for dinner (every Wednesday at Fast cats or Hardcore practice night) after and that adds up if you race once or twice a week.

If I am going to race a one day race I will go out for a practice night to make sure when I get to the one day race my car works and there are no surprise.

This year for example I haven’t done any practice nights at all, which saves me $20-$30.00 in gas in my car. So I put that towards the cost of a 3-day weekend. Besides if I am not racing I am mostly likely going up north, so there’s gas money spent regardless.

My cheapest weekend of the year was Muskoka, rented a trailer that was delivered to the track. Cost was $100.00 per guy for Friday-Sunday and groceries weren’t much at all. Weekend total was $160.00

Good topic, looking forward to other ppl views.

I think the other cost to consider is time. Being away from home and or work for the time at a three day race is costly.

*chuckle* You must love your wife more than I love mine...our *nice* dinners usually only cost $40-$50!

Your Hemi costs a lot! My sunfire was able to do 2000km+ on about $100 in gas...
