Looks cute, kind of pricey and has some bad reviews, I guess it is on the border of a Toy rather then hobby grade. I am not to sure this is a great thing available at this time to 'dumb' general public, and name it 'spy plane' considering the new anti AV/FPV privacy bills being introduced in the US by the ever present 'do-gooders'.

Re: new RTR choice of FPV

I had a chance to play with that in Toledo last year. Its a nice little toy for the
"Daddy, but me this for Christmas" Kind of thing. I see it as mostly for kids, but by the same token, its a good starter FPV for someone who wants a simple plug-and play FPV.

My take on it:
1) its laughingly small for FPV, but if you are just flying it within the confines of a schoolyard, then I guess its OK
2) That camera mounted on the nose wont last long. Especially with a beginner at the sticks. One bop-on-the-nose and its toast. Anyone buying this BETTER be a good pilot first. Even with good pilots, the wear and tear of landings will claim that camera.
3) The FPV screen that comes on the transmitter is also a joke. Take it from me. It wont be much good for really "seeing" where you are going. First of all, its really small. Second of all, its on the TX, so unless you are in the habit of flying with your TX 6" in front of your face, I wish you luck FPV'ing that. Thirdly ambient light is the biggest issue. I dont think anyone will be able to see much on that screen in the middle of a sunny day. Its only saving grace is I do recall seeing a video-out port which will allow you to plug in a set of goggles.
4) It comes with and without RTH (return to home). Given its small size and probably limited range of the 2.4G system, the RTH feature would be something I would recommend.
