Depends what you're using it in. If you're using it in a touring car, then yes, It is an awesome engine. If you're putting it in a truck, then you'll lack a lot of torque.

ditto...the 12tz sounds and is expensive (300 at AJ) while the TR is only 230

The TR should be enough to satisfy your needs. I have a 12 TR in my NTC3 and it's so damn fast.
