This is starting out as a "what's it worth" post question, which will likely then roll into a forsale.

I have two Align Trex450SE helis. I bought and set these up just prior to having to put all my RC stuff in storage and leave the hobby. I have just recently started pulling the stuff out of the boxes. I have decided that I am not getting completely out of the hobby but I will significantly cut back on my inventory. After pulling this stuff out and thinking over my time limitations and where I want to re-engage in my hobbies, ... I am leaning towards helis just not being my thing to do at this time.

I tend to go whole hog on things and jump in full, total immersion method. In this case I was basically just getting started into helicopters. I spent most of the time just putting them together, and figuring out programming on the radio. I really have not flown these to speak of. My actual flight time is limited to trying helis out on RealFlight simulator with my radio linkedup. I did actually try one and get it into the air and hovered about 5' off the driveway - about 4 times.

So here you go;
The two helis are SE-Pro series. Carbon fibre frames, alloy heads, align motor, out runner motor, align esc, the servos am not positive on (have to go look) but are mini mg/digital. Receiver in both is Berg7 on FM with the short whip antenna adds. Two complete RTF helis. 3x 2200 mAh batteries. Futaba7c. There is tons of spare parts including extra motor and esc.

---> If I wanted to sell them, what would be a fair asking price? I am asking for guidance of a fair range on these respectful of my costs and what fair current market is for them. You can PM me please. Thank you for taking the time to read this and especially thank you for any advice you have.

Re: Trex450SE x2

It looks like you did the work when these were built. The Berg 7P with whip were what I used after switching from the much more expensive Futaba 146iP. For their size and cost they were much more tolerant of base antennas and programmable, as well. In fact, still have some 450 airframes around with these.

The basic SE airframe is a bit dated now, but the other components could still be viable. For example, the Hitec HS-65 swash servos were pretty much industry standard for years and are still good. However, that first CSM is a museum piece, (I have 2!) and the Futaba 240 was good as well. Originally, gyros and tail servos were where you concentrated on quality as it had a lot to do with how the heli flew and responded.

With flybarless and stab systems the heli could be updated and fly fine. I never had any problem with belt driven tails.

So, IMO these are still fine with a bit of component updating and would serve well for someone just getting into the hobby or wanting the basis for a scale body build. I would not give these away for pennies. but that's just me showing my preference to something I can build rather than program.

One thing I noticed is the main grips on #1 are definitely not standard.

Re: Trex450SE x2

Thanks Cougar.

The way this all came together is I bought one heli new and another used but incomplete. Knowing my upcoming learning curve, I then kept my eyes open for bits pieces and spare parts as they turned up. I ended up with upgrades which I installed and also enough to build the second heli and plenty left over. The second, built, yellow tailed heli is the one I hovered a couple times. So here are two complete helis plus extra parts.

I am thinking what I will do then is just go through the bits and pieces, then throw a number out there. When I do, please let me know if it is in reasonable and fair.
(This will be quite a hit )

I suppose I could also tear them down and part it all out. Rather not do that, I think I did a decent job putting them together and someone could use these as backups or as startup of their own fleet.

All, feel free to PM me in throwing some offer numbers at me before I get it all figured it all out and put some numbers up here.
