i keep seeing airplanes for sale and most often they state that they are making room or have to many..it that possible to have to many? i have 15+ airplanes and i no way do i think thats to many(contrary to what my daughter says)..you have the easy flyer's like the cub (i have 4 of them) to the war birds and maybe a few jets when you feel the need for speed.are we really selling them because we have to many or just diverting the cash we have in them to some other project?
i suppose I'm one of the lucky ones where i can devote my entire basement to this hobby if need be but i can always find room for the sweet deal that comes around from time to time.

Re: is there such a thing as to many planes?

I've asked myself this question many times. The best answer is "hey - it's your hobby, you decide". To me, so long as they're all getting air time then great! but that's just me...I'm not one to like having stuff just sitting around.

I picked up a used Ultimate 120 tonight to add to the fleet. That's 6 in the hangar which by most standards isn't too many. I've gone through about 12 in the last 2 years and now have 6, so I guess I'm not a "hoarder". In fact, I may be selling one or two this spring...

I don't build that fast, but I doubt anyone would want to buy any of my planes anyway, so I just fly 'em till they're "used up". Sometimes the "leftovers" get incorporated into other planes.

Re: is there such a thing as to many planes?

I don't think there is an upper number to how many plaes I have, but my wife will give you a differant answer. She has put me on a quota now, I only get to buy a new one when I crash an existing one, ( and if you belive that I follow that edict, I can tell you how to hide models so that they are not seen by a glancing eye).

Yes! You can have to many planes. It's an illness with only one cure. Send your extra planes to me
