LOL That would have been funny to see!! I agree with the not fun part though!

Viper: The bad part about having your fail safe set to full brakes is that it can burn out a servo... it's a lot of stress on the servo trying to move past it's limits with the brakes... One of my friends burnt out a KO2144 servo that way... I find that generally it is best to set it to neutral or slight brakes.

Hello

I hear ya, it is funny as hell but it can be very dangerous, especially with kids around. The odd time I bring out my little one and she is only six years old, I would really hate or be guilty if she was around one of these runaways. It would kill me. Chewy what do you mean by the Xtal?

Stalker,
Full brakes done by your fingers, or full throttle on straight runs, and or turning left or right with your steering servo is no different than your fail safe engaging the brakes on.

If your EPA's are set a particular setting, the fail safe cannot therefore engage the servo any further than it is set for.

I'll tell you though how a fail safe can burn a servo out.

The EPA was set to full throw with the fail safe set to full throw as well while the owner spoke to a fellow hobbyist then had a couple of smokes and ran the tank of fuel through out the whole deal would = a burnt out servo.

To avoid the above problem, just shut down your truck and electronics.

Failsafes are a must! Trust me I know this, and anyone who was at the Hobby Home Bash and witnessed my football tackle would understand.

I got really lucky that time, but I think I will take chewy's advice and get a throttle spring as well.
