throttle return spring


       Remove this ad - become a site supporter!
I moved my spring to the handle part of the chassis like iv seen done on this site, but now i only get half throttle. What have i done wrong. Please help

I'm going to assume that the servo moved the throttle arm fully before you moved the spring. If so, the throttle servo not moving is because the spring is putting more force on the servo arm than it's capable of overcoming. So you basically have a two options:

- increase the voltage going to the servo (upgrade from the stock 4 AA batteries to a 5 cell 2/3A Hump Pack ~ voltage increase from 4.8 to 6.0). This increases the servo's maximum speed/torque output. (highly adviseable as your truck will turn better)
- move the spring closer to the servo to lessen the torque applied if the above doesn't work.

Both those are assuming you have the basic S25 RTR truck. If for some reason you have upgraded equipment (like a better radio) check the end points to see if they are set up correctly.
