I do plan on running a manual shut off myself. On that note, as I continue to plan my install, is there any "you can't do that" that I should be mindfull of?

Distance from pump to engine, distance from UAT to pump, distance from solenoids to engine, Robart airline etc?

Thanks

Re: Tank to UAT to Pump to valve to (1st build)

One thing I have found really handy when planning installations is to utilize a dry erase white board to sketch out all the components and direction of the plumbing. Especially handy if you have multiple trays and you want the stuff below coming up to the top at a particular point. I draw the items as close to full size as possible.
Seems at first like its an unnecessary step, but you'll be surprised how much erasing you do.
Here are some pics of my most recent install. This one included smoke.

Re: Tank to UAT to Pump to valve to (1st build)

That's a great idea Sean.

The only issue I see is a clean, neat installation MUST be serviceable. There are certain airframes where servicing is a bear due to cockpit opening/size but generally, I like to be able to remove a tray or component without having to rip out or unplug a bunch of other stuff. It's a ral bitch if your air system is buried under a couple of trays and you have to dig deep just to troubleshoot a leak.
