Question Couldnt Resist! A-10 warthog

Hi guys Im very new to AC in fact I havnt even received my first one in the mail yet!lol.

I have been flying Trex 450 V2 for over 6 months now and am very confident with forward flight. cercuits and figure 8s, when I cam accross this on the net.
http://www.nitroplanes.com/new204chathi1.html Whell the price was so good... i just couldnt stop myself. But first off I noticed that the battery was a Ni-mh 8.4 650mah witch I plan to change to a li-po and secondly I think i would like to change the brushed motors to Brushless. I am using the Spectrum DX7 and will ofcourse change the stock receiver over aswell.

So what kind of Battery/Motor/ESP combo do you guys recomend. I would like a litle more power than stock but keeping in mind i have never flown a AC before.

I would appriciate any input you can offer.

Thanks

Trevor

Hi

This is just a thought ............ shouldn t you try a trainer before trying this . Landing a heli and landing a plane isn t the same ........... 2 cents

Taking off isn't the same either, but I agree that it's a different thing to try to land it.

It sure wouldn't hurt to try a trainer.

Re: Couldnt Resist! A-10 warthog

I understand what your saying. But I am fortunant to have my father and a buddy box to learn with. He has 50+years experience and Im sure he will teach me just fine. Im sure theres no comparrison but I also have my pilots licience.

I guess the reson Im upgrading already is cause when I started on the heli's I spent a lot of money on unnessacary things such as the Honey Bee King2. For a while I thought it was my lack of ability to fly, but the moment I purchashed the way better Trex 450 I had no problem at all. my thinking is... Id rather learn to drive a Corvette with good thottle response than a Beetle with bad brakes!lol

Thanks for the response and happy flying.

To answer my original question...here is an excelent thread on how to improve the very underpowered A-10 http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_70...tm.htm#7077307

Makes for some very interesting reading if you plan on flying an A-10
