I'm just installing my servos for my elevator (two halfs), gonna be running a spliter to one channel. My problem is that one needs to be reversed. Is there a tool out there that does this (electronicaly). And does anyone have one that lives around Hanover/Kincardine/Goderich area. Thanks Jerry

Smile Re: Servo Reversing

You can try using an open channel for the second servo and program it to work with the elevator or even using a v tail mix. It works for me. cheers

Re: Servo Reversing

You can use a servo reversing Y harness.

Re: Servo Reversing

Curt, Could I make my own reversing harness? Is it just switching 2 wires? If that's the case that would work.

Re: Servo Reversing

You could try a $10 reversing Y harness.

No, never.

To reverse a servo you would take the signal, and subtract it from a three millisecond pulse.

Left (1 millisecond) would become right (3-1 or 2 milliseconds)
Right (2 milliseconds) would become left (3-2 or 1 millisecond)
Neutral (1.5 milliseconds) would stay the same (3-1.5=1.5)

You have to reverse the two outer leads of the feedback pot in the servo and reverse the wiring to the servo motor.

And that only works on some servos.

You are absolutely correct!! I should have mentioned that this works only on standard non-digital servos.
