Re: Indoor flying in Mississauga...

It is indeed, I suggested that we all RCC aircraft members chip in $20-$30 bucks each as that will help a long way, we have a lot of members here so getting numbers high wouldn't take much time plus if we all help Ramz field's rebuild now, you never know, it might happen to us, then others can help us out, it's like creating help/support system for times like this.....Scott I like your suggestion also to help them out....

Is this indoor flying event for helis or airplanes as well?

Elec Re: Indoor flying in Mississauga...

The plan is for both planes and heli's, probably up to the Blade 130 size (hopefully there is no problem with that), and micro's and 3D foamies to about 33" max.

Electrics only (if that needs to be stated)

They now have me completing insurance forms, so will advise further when able.

Re: Indoor flying in Mississauga...

I'm going to look into a retrieval system for potential aircraft stuck in the rafters, but for now just wishing we had dedicated system as in the video!

How awesome would that be!

Re: Indoor flying in Mississauga...

The venue is booked, but i am still awaiting to hear from the insurance people what their charge will be. (supposed to be today, but will call tomorrow if i don't hear by noon)

They had mentioned insurance against going into the rafters!

I think once we get the city on board, ONCE, then future venues and bookings will be a ton easier.

The footwork is being done. Let's hope they get back to us soon.
