Re: Lets see what you fly!! AKA THE HOT HELI'S THREAD!!
Thanks for the update, turbines take proper TLC alright they can last many moons or be destroyed in nano seconds if you don't know what you are doing. How fast do those spin?

Re: Lets see what you fly!! AKA THE HOT HELI'S THREAD!!
Morning Jim
Max rpm is set for 165,000. My sport and scale style of flying usually ranges between 138,000 and 145,000. Rotor head speed on my 2-blader is about 1,450 rpm max and the bigger 3-bladers about 1,100. |

Re: Lets see what you fly!! AKA THE HOT HELI'S THREAD!!
I used trim monokote to wrap booms and stablizers.
Neon orange works really good in all light conditions for my eyes, the neon yellow is a closed second. Defenitely helps with orientations. The neon yellow also matches the goblin yellow pretty close. |

Re: Lets see what you fly!! AKA THE HOT HELI'S THREAD!!
Nice fleet. Rotorquest used to sell boom wraps by Heli Image but the Monokote looks like it works fine. The Goblins are great for visibility but I need all the help I can get with the Trex helis.

I've used heat shrink tubing for tail boom wrap.
