Re: Quebec Finals

Here is a map to help you make your way to the airport. Note that the St-Lazare airport is in the middle of the town of Saint-Lazare, it is NOT the airport you can see from the highway near St-Lazare/Les Cèdres.

http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=q&sourc...4&ie=UTF8&z=16

Please note that the pilot’s meeting will be promptly at 8:45 and first flight at 9:15! We have a lot of pilots registered so we cannot start late. Coffee and donuts will be here to greet you. Note that several local newspapers have confirmed their presence, and that DB Promedia will be on site Saturday to do a videography of the event - we are counting on you for the prompt starting time and smooth rolling of the competition.

For the freestyle, please bring your music on a CD. The freestyle will take place at noon both days. The objective of the event is to interest the public in our hobby

I'm nowhere near as good as Tom and Dave, but I've done a few freestyles this year... I don't have anything worked out, just drill some holes in the sky for a few minutes. Sometimes it gets exciting; I picked up some hay in my tail wheel mid-freestyle in Asbestos.

Ray, I'm CERTAIN I fly worse than you would - it's time to try it!!!!

You are too generous Scot. But reporters from local news parers will be there, and some of them will be carrying heavy video equipment. I think some of these guys may bee weighed down too heavy to run & duck for cover.
We want to go back there you know.

Re: Quebec Finals

Thanks for all the work preparing and running this contest. Thanks to all the volunteers. Thanks to Jack and Judy for letting us fly at their airport. Thanks for the flying club members for letting us take over their airspace on a perfect weekend.

A very well run contest! I think St. Lazare should be considered for the Nationals...
