Not sure if my post belongs on this thread....since everyone seems to be on the same "ROD" (no pun intended) or was it "CRANK" haha!..... wait a sec while i Finnish picking my nose! i just finnished admiring my freshly new GP123, and thought WoW! what a nice motor! Inherited parts or not? i don't derserve this kind of quality!....i've been a bad bad boy!.....carry on! what was that we were talking about again?.......

Way back in the 70's I worked in the canned milk plant in Wetaskwin Alberta in the quality control department. My job was to test & standerdize the products that we made. We produced 13 different brands of canned milk at that time.

Now this may come as a bit of a supprise to some but... they were all filled out of the same tank! All that was different between brands was the label on the can!

Not to hear some housewives argue about which brand was best mind you! And Caronation milk advertized that theirs only came from "contented" cows!!

So... are there common parts found between engine brands? Well... ya!

Now all you old housewives - put your engines back together before you loose the parts and go flying!
