Oakville Swap Meet is the same day and about 40 minutes closer for me.

Bummer! I wish clubs would check with each other on such things.

Nope. ....

The Whitby swap meet is a MAAC sanctioned event. Usually the zone directors try to get thue clubs NOT to hold events on the same day.

Oakville did this on their own as far as I know. It's the second time they have scheduled it on the same day as Heydenshore and it doesn't benefit either club.

IMHO certainly needs to be some better communication between the 2 clubs.

I just found out that the following Sunday the Keswick club is holding their swap meet the same day as the Aurora swap meet.

This is not good for us guys who like to check out all the swap meets.

Everyone loses here. It makes no sense.

The Keswick & Oakville clubs should change their dates since they are the new kids on the block.

I will be going to the Aurora swap meet.

Mike,
I think the keswick club changed the date on thier swap meet. They moved it to an outdoor style to be incorperated with thier warbird rally that is on Aug 2/09. The proper dates are on the MAAC website and it is a sanctioned event I believe.
