If you have a sim, that will improve your flying dramatically.

Re: Some people never learn

I have a sim and have used it I fly that much better. Often times it boils down to nerves on edge in real life. I'll look at the quads slowly and carefully before I take any kind of plunge into that part of the hobby.

That would be a hexacopter (6), but nice. I didn't know Align made one. The more blades, the less chance of failure (redundancy. I had a blade come loose on my Gaui 500, and there was nothing that could be done to avoid a crash.

I would love to get the DJI Spreading Wings S800 next, but cost is just prohibitive. http://www.dji-innovations.com/featu...s800-features/

I have 2 winter projects this year, since im new to quads, im going to do a hobby king 6 rotor one. to learn the in's and outs etc etc then build a nicer one.

the other winder project is converting 2 trainer planes from nitro to electric. WHY ? because i wanna learn planes too they are being given to me for free, and why electric ? i don't like nitro and im not buying support equipment for nitro just for some planes i might kill

Re: Some people never learn

I've been reading the posts and here is where I'm at today. I looked at multi rotor helis and they look like a whole new learning curve with a whole lot of expense and they don't really light my fire. Big helis I love to fly but I'm too dangerous and the expense will kill me in crash repairs. Micro helis can take a beating but the little buggers can get away from you in a hurry and I lose sight of them. I did have a flybarless 100 collective pitch heli which was a 3D heli but too much for my skills although stable when it sat still and fun when it was nearby. Is there a micro heli that is docile and can take a beating you know one that can fly indoors without being a threat to household pets or ornaments and will not be too bothered by it's own prop wash?

Re: Some people never learn

I'll look at the Blade 130 I have a Spectrum radio on the way so I can bind it. Not interested in 3D because for me it means "Dip Dive Destroyed" and basically sums up my flying skills.
