I have a Quadra 35 sitting on the shelf and want to give it a home.
I have looked around and havent found any large plans yet. Maybe have to make a larger version of the Edge 540??

Re: Need plans for a BIG SPAD. 35cc

Here's an ugly thang I built one day.......8' wingspan based on a senior telemaster, 2mil top skin, 4 mil bottom. 1/4'' ply spar, and it has flaps.
The fuse is all coro, doubled up from the firewall back behind the wing mounting area.
3/4'' ply firewall.
Wheels off a golf bag caddy
46cc poulan

For what it was, it flew pretty good. it would take off in about 2 lengths of itself. When it was on skis on a hard icy surface, it levitated off the ice!!
It was lots of fun while it lasted.
For about $30 worth of stuff, it was the only way i could ever have flown a 'gasser'.

oh please do tell!

Meanwhile at this end of the lake Damon I seem to have the same problem as you, Where to put a 40cc Gasser ? And should it have floats? or should it be Amphibian?

I'm thinking of doing an up-sized SPAD Stick.

And where the heck is Bill when we need someone to talk us out of these hair brained schemes any ways!!!!!!!!

Re: Need plans for a BIG SPAD. 35cc

I couldnt do that to Dennis. Its a fly solo kind of plane. Just have to add a bomb drop/x15 drop.

Re: Need plans for a BIG SPAD. 35cc

Well Mike Funny you should ask today, Dennis has made the delivery to a guy I work with and the plane should be here Tommorow or the next day. Dennis gave me some pointers for my Quadra 35 to give it some more poop, so I should be in the basement working on that because I have skis sitting on the bench waiting for a plane. Oh and Dennis is the very nice gentleman that sold me the plane.
