Binding issues w/ TM1000 and AR 12120

Probably been asked before a 1000 times but I can't get the TM 1000 to bind to my Ar 12120 and my DX18QQ. I've plugged the module into the bind/data port and then hold the module bind button while I turn on the RX the I hit bind in the system setup menu on the QQ but it either fails every time or binds the RX and not the TM 1000? Why I've tried 20 times and still won't bind.
Thanks

Re: Binding issues w/ TM1000 and AR 12120

Did you try putting a "Y" cable in the line to the TM and using a jumper to be sure you are not releasing/re-pressing the button during bind?

The regular 18 got a firmware update a few days ago that made improvement to the binding/connecting so now it is not so necessary to keep the radio 4-6ft away from the Rx. Did the QQ get a similar update or would it help you to keep some distance while binding?

I haven't updated yet because there is an update for the QQ also I believe, I'll do that and try again.

Yep its a bit of a pain with the powersafe models. Its is also very deceptive, if you do like the old ones, it acts like its gonna work, then you re-power everything and it doesn't. Leads to a lots of confusion. Got me multiple times in the past!!!

Oh that's nice to know, thanks. Wish that was in the TM 1000 manual, it was really confusing me that's for sure. Thanks again!

Re: Binding issues w/ TM1000 and AR 12120

I don't understand the reason for needing to plug in a second battery into an empty channel......

Anyway, I use a 12120 receiver and the TM1000. I don't plug the telemetry into the receiver at all when I do the binding.
I power the tm1000 separately with its own battery.

Then I put it into bind mode then the receiver into bind mode, then last... the transmitter is put into bind mode.

After everything is bound, I plug the tm1000 into the receiver's data port.

Good to go

That would be an option with any Rx and TM combination. Just like any number of multiple Rx's can be bound at separate times to a model slot and then used simultaneously.
