Scratch build Mil Mi-24
Hi Guy's
Here is a follow up on my project. Last fall I did a couple of flight test that was not very good I add a lot of resonance in the fuse. This weekend I decided to have a go at it, Here is a couple of picture of it before is flight. I did 2 flight to adjust the curves and the head speed, I found that if I go higher than 1500 rpm on the head it will vibrate, The last 2 flight was some slow and fast circuit. My friend add is video camera with him and he took some shoot of it, I might have a video of it to upload in a couple of day's. Helibuff Yvon |

Excellent job done there Yvon, i'm impressed with your craftsmanship. I have never seen or had though i will see Hind being done as rc heli!. I'm speechless, all i can say its simply beautiful fuselage. Did you made scale LGs also and what size heli is in this fuselage. Post its flight video for us to see it. Do you plan to make it in 30sz or 50sz also in foreseen future..

Re: Scratch build Mil Mi-24
Hi guy's I did some more work on the Hind since the last post of the maiden flight, I added the turbine outlet, gun turret, 4 canon, and a rockets pods.
I was asking from my OS 70 about 80% power just to hover it and at 1450 rpm for the rotor the power was at is best very marginal so I decided to by a OS 91SZ and some NHP 800MM rotor blade. I did my first test flight yesterday and boy there is a big difference in the flight characteristic a lot more stable and now I am hovering it at just a air below mid stick at the same head speed. Here's a picture of it with the extra details. Helibuff Yvon |
