On the Great Planes website.........they offer a rebate of $25 to anyone who buys G3 providing they show a bill from G2 prior to Sept1/2004...........and $50 rebate I believe to anyone who bought G2 from Sept1/2004 to Dec 31 2004.

-But it still would be nice just to get the software and keep the G2 controller...........you paid enough with the addons!!!.........

Hello everyone, I've done alot of research on the subject of r/c sims, and, have found that opinions and (non-biast) reviews all come out the same. Here are the results.

#1 sim for fixed wing: Aerofly Pro, even better is Aerofly Pro Deluxe

#1 sim for rotary wing: Reflex XTR

Others sims, such as G2 or G3 are ok, but, you have to decide what it is that you want in a sim. Do you want clouds that float by and everything is all pretty? Or, do you want the aircraft to react and fly as if you were at the field? For me, I want the best possible physics in a sim so the plane "feels" real and can then relate the sim practice to the field. This is just my opinion, but like I said, I have spent several hours online and have found these results. As you may have guessed , I have ordered Aerofly Pro Deluxe and I can't wait for it to get here. I know some might say how can you judge without trying the sims first hand, but this opinion is based striclty on research.

For those looking for a sim, here's a link you may find usefull in making a decision
