Jack got a rifle I can borrow to fix a chint engine?

Brand new DLE35RE and only got about a 4 minute flight out of it and it started dying. It would not take any throttle at all so I brought it in to land. It was running perfect. So I take off the cowl thinking maybe the high was lean and it got hot. Seemed odd though as it was running like it was tuned nicely. No go on the ground it would only idle, I took off the cover on the carb removed the needles and blew them out with my electric fuel pump. Everything seems clear. Assembled the carb and tried again, no luck. I tried to see if it would take throttle with the choke. No that killed it. Fired it back up without the choke and still just idles. The throttle has zero effect except when opened it will not keep running for long. Took off the wings and put it back in the trailer before I did something bad. At this point I am thinking the ignition is hooped as I pulled the plug and it was wet. When I get time I will plug another ignition in and see if that fixes it. If so I will buy a CH for a replacement.

Nothing wrong with a little glow.
I imagine you giggling like you did when you were 20ish. Flying glow, and having a ball.

Good-on-you.

Yes it was almost like a little fun fly. There was a bunch more guys that came out a little later. The four in the foreground are mine.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Jeff you know when Doug finally gets down to the Trout Farm. We will have a very short notice, Hot-Dog Fun-Fly. Those are always the best ones anyways.

Oh man, Am I ever getting pumped up about flying the 150cc (+) airframes this week-end.

I'll take it easy as the E.M. will likely drop in....I do have a rifle, however I'd much rather assign it sticker #3 for the video shoot!!
