Re: Blue Foamie

Mornin GB.
Just finished my next indoor model in readiness for our upcoming indoor RC season here in London..
Built from EPP, 22" wingspan, lousey paint job, but, it should prove interesting...
10gr outrunner from Lazertoyz, 10 amp ESC, GWS 6 ch receiver, three 5grm servos, lipo batt, 2C, 460mAh. Haven't flown a 4 channel for quite some time so there will be some hairy moments till I get used to the rudder on the left stick.. Mostly RET models in the past, Darts, Deltas, NutBalls, and the latest additions, a DepDart, and a Revert for slope flyin. For indoor I have my old trusty Lasey with actuators for rudder and elevator.... and a Blade CX2 with modified tail.. All have been good flyers indoor..
I like the EPP, it's so easy to make something out of with Hotmelt and a sharp knife...
Would be nice to see you over the winter months at our indoor venue, if you see fit to come....

Re: Blue Foamie

Oh ya, it's supposed to be a YAK 54, ala Gene Bond, U.S.A.
Here are the DepDart and Revert I spoke of...
Am working on a landing gear setup for the YAK now.... More pics to follow when all done....

Opppps, just read your last post again, not Hamilton but Hanmer, just a slip of the eye...
Since yer way up north, guess you won't be coming here, but it's open for anybody who can make it to London... First date is November 7th... Horton St. Boys and Girls club.... London..
Hall is a good size with flying area of 70' X 50', and yes, we have basket ball nets for you to land in!!!!!

Re: Blue Foamie

Hi,

Just wanted to ask what size the Yak should be. I printed out the Clik and Yak and the Yak looks a little large to me. The settings that were used were the same for each but the Yak came out at 36 1/2 WS and 34 with rudder. Is this correct or did I blow it?

Thanks
Dave

I think for indoor, the ideal ws would be a 32-34inch ws

Re: Blue Foamie

For indoor, a 32 to 34" would suffice, depending on the size of your hall...
My first YAK 54 came out at 33" and was quite handible in our large hall but since we have dropped down in size of the hall now, I built the 22" hoping it will fit the bill...

We are getting ready for our indoor program for the winter and any info on indoor stuff would be appreciated.
Have just finished my 22" w/s YAK 54 and hope to give it a test flight this morning at our local club field, Winds are down right now, so hopefully, it's a go...
