I'm wondering how much interest there would be in a jet/warbird funfly in Elk Point. We have an excellent facility available. The runway is 5000ft paved and the town is behind the idea 100%. They have stated they would cut grass and provide port-a-potties. The airport itself see's little to no traffic (NOTAMS on funfly weekend already guaranteed) and we have been told we could part RV's there for the entire event. Full service lots are available within 20min drive in several locations. A hangar is available to keep the birds safe at night.

If there is enough interest I would schedule it for mid August of next year.

Thoughts/Idea's/Interest???

Depending on the time of year, I'd love to attend another jet event in Alberta. Alan Blore from Calgary may also be planning something for next year.

Its way more than big enough and with the cooperation of the town it will have all the camping we need and then some. No service at the field but port-a-potties and lots of cut grass. Like I said before serviced lots are only a 20 minute drive away.
