Elec Best 2WD Buggy?

Oops forgot to add 1/10th scale please.
In your opinion what is the best 2WD buggy? Do you own one?

I am looking to get into this class of racing. It seems like Losi 22 and B4 worlds are by far the most popular. Anybody use anything different and would suggest it and why?

Re: Best 2WD Buggy?

I don't own any 2wd buggies but from what I've read, the B4 definitely seems the most popular.

Re: Best 2WD Buggy?

I picked up a brushless Team Associated B4.1 and love it. I'm not racing with it, yet, but it's a well balanced car with lots of power for what I do with it. I've not tried the Losi but it seems very popular as well. I don't think you could go wrong with either.

a few people have a Kyosho also. I am not as familiar with that brand although I have heard it is good.

Re: Best 2WD Buggy?

I went with the b4 because of the track record they have. Found parts to be easy to get. Keep that in mind when you buy. If the LHS has the car and no parts it means you will be down for an undetermined time till they do get them.

Just my 2 cents.

Re: Best 2WD Buggy?

What LHS??? I am a 90% online shopper. The nearest store is 40 min and has a lot of traxxas, a little Losi and a tiny bit of HPI. If The one "RC" guy is there so you can get help.

I actually got my first non Tamiya and it is an Associated. I have to say I am very impressed with the quality so far!

Re: Best 2WD Buggy?

LHS is local hobby store. Sorry to here you got a bummer store to deal with. We have 3 or 4 here, I use only use 2 of them usually. Don't make any differance which one you pick as long as you can get parts easy for it.

Re: Best 2WD Buggy?

It is odd to because there is a club that's been here for over 20 years and now does on road but the LHS doesn't bring much in for them. Seems like their missing out on a lot of money.

Re: Best 2WD Buggy?

The problem is most time you buy a unit then need nothing for a year or two. With customers not coming for the stuff on a regular cycle you can't stay open.

you could try bulk orders for your local group to get a message to the LHS that you want to buy from him if he wants to try. Could even try with a closer store that sells hardware or odds and ends. They may want to get into it if they see the market for it.

Re: Best 2WD Buggy?

The Losi 22 and Durango DEX210 are the most popular from what I've seen. Both can run mid-motor which is far superior on carpet, but useless on dirt.
