Bee's n stuff
Well I maidened Lazy Bee #1 last week. ummm a few clicks on trim and it was flying on rails Seriously though I had a hoot. Nothing like doing a loop at idle. #1 has ailerons so it was certainly manouverable with the .15la.
The engine quit on the 3rd flight and when I brought it home I found the fuel tank had cracked. Fuel everywhere.... doh I removed the electronics and put corn starch throughout and let it sit all week. I just cleaned it out tonite and I gotta tell you, the fuel is gone and the wood looks as solid as before. (not much wood there to start with) It should be ready to fly shortly once I put the electronics back in. #2 will have flaperons to, ummm, slow it down I have two different float types that I'll use as skiis this winter. I've got my New Bee almost done (need to install electronics then cover) and my Saito .30 came into the LHS tonite so I've got to get this one out the door. Looking at the forecast, I'll probably have it almost done this weekend Yup, these are small planes but I have to tell you, it's amazing how much fun you can have when you vary the type and size of planes you put in the air. Next up to complete will be my CG Sukhoi, slightly bigger with the Saito 1.80. Variety truly is fun. Bob
