18 engine, need help tuning

hey guys,
I have a .18 engine for nitro car. from the start my nitro car always started to move in idle, so i used my foot to block it from running away when i started the engine. once i was able to tune my engine, the car doesn't move any more regardless of the throttle. Could this be that i have worn out the clutch bearings because i always stopped the car from going when starting it?
Also are there n e ppl from MONTREAL?
thanks,
hill

clutch

If your engine revs but the clutch bell doesn't turn ,then clutch shoes would be the first thing i'd check. You need to use the idle speed screw to lower the engine idle to stop it from moving at low rpm ,or the spring on your shoes could be broken.new shoes are about 12 bucks and come with a new spring. If you have some , use 400 grit sandpaper to remove the glazed metal inside the clutchbell , steel wool works too.
