What will MAAC do if we have a "supercool" turbine jet showing off 280 mph on a public show having a problem ?
Ain't gonne happen ?
I hope not because I love flying jets AND I like other people enjoy their jets.

The jet crowd is a small, close knit community. Lots of boasting going on all the time. WHy is this being blown out of proportion?

He isnt doing anything wrong, or against the rules set in place.

I dont get what the issue is?

Andrew,
most RC accidents happen after these words
NOW WATCH THIS.....
Come on now. This is ridiculous. I think I know who you are (Hans?) maybe we met a few years back at the BofQ rally. I know you dont hang out here a lot, but Jeremy is a well known guy who has been here for ages.

Doom and gloom... I am outa' here. Had enough "discussion" this week to lastme far through the weekend.

I give up dude. (face in palm)

But I will ask this: what rules are being broken? And what turbine powered jets are you currently flying? I see you selling a lot of rc car stuff and the odd heli part, even a prop jet. But what are you flying? How fast does it go? How much fuel does it carry? How do I know you are a capable pilot and not going to wreck this hobby for the rest of us? Huh?

I seriously give up.

I guess what I am trying to say is that this hobby is for all of us to enjoy, and for each individual to do their very best to keep it that way.

Andrew, we did meet some time ago, the reason why I post now is because I do hang out here a lot and this time I felt it was important to step up the plate.
Now you might not agree with me, but this is what I think, this is what I find important, no reason to get angry.

No r/c cars(wrong info)as for prop jet, had to start somewhere. Fly Heli(Miniture aircraft, SynegyN9's)and as for Jets.... Super Bandit(Jetcat)and Eurosport. As for capable pilot you ask, I would say "safe".
I did not post to start a problem, it"s just my opinion and feelings. And if you do your research I do not post much.
Sorry, if I offended you in any way.

Re: New big block engine on the way for the Firebird!!!

OK is this about the braging rights for the most powerful engines or the fastest A/C.
I have a pair of General Electric CJ 610 turbo jet engines 2850 LBS of thrust. each
that powers my A/C at a speed of .82 MAC.
The A/C also held the speed to 40000 ft in 7 minutes, in its day it was faster than current
fighters of the day.
Just a LEAR 23
I own it, I fly it, and its paid for.
Beat that with your Firebird & AMT

Re: New big block engine on the way for the Firebird!!!

Well Chuck, the question is not the bragging rights to who has the fastest A/C? If it was, you would win hands down and end of conversation. And that is no toy either. The question is? Can it be handled and be" in control" at extreme speeds safely?
One other question Chuck, is your Lear 23 jet made of balsa and fibreglass?
A follow up question. Does MAAC know about you Lear 23 jet?

I do not think your capable of staying off RCC for a week?
JUST Tired of all the BS, it would be nice to have some RC jet content on some builds
and useful info.
