Many (more than 200?) were rejected because the names and numbers did not jive with the MAAC database!

It was explained by the hard-working scrutineers that some names were illegible and, more importantly, that some members were not listed as "in good standing" (ie. not paid up!).

This has very serious implications: the first being that votes were lost. The second relates to MAAC's database integrity vs people flying uninsured.

I believe Brad is looking into it but, meanwhile, I hope clubs are checking the anomalies and reporting to him the results.

Any confirmation from anyone down there?

Members in that zone may have to do some more work if they wish to avoid a return to the past.

....... Clubs and organizers of the change last year, may want to begin collecting sooner than later as I believe that position is open again for election this coming fall.

I would like to confirm that Brad Egan will be continuing as our Zone Director for the next two years. We are having our Zone meeting in two weeks, no one has registered to run against Brad.

Congratulations on a great job so far Brad, you have the support of a lot of members in this zone. Two more years of happy flying.
