Articles For New IMAC Site

Remove this ad - become a site supporter!
As I mentioned in another thread the new IMAC web site should go live around Oct 1. One of the things the ARD's have talked about with Ron (our RD) is what articles we should post on the new web site.

Ron really wants NCFR to be a leader given our size in participant numbers. Not sure if many realize this but Ontario is the 4th largest "province /state" in terms of members. The only three states with more members are California, Florida, and Arizona. We presently have more members than Michigan and Ohio combined. That is one reason Ontario has two ARD's - Bryan and myself.

With respect to articles we are looking for ideas and subjects. One of the things that keeps coming up is how to attract new people and "why join IMAC" or "What do I need to do to prepare for my first contest" are frequent themes. Or someone who could write about their first contest experience. We are certainly looking for people who want to put pen to paper and write a short article. Does not need to be long, even a page or two.

If any of you have interest or think you might have something to contribute please get in touch with me. We want to make the new web site interesting and informative.

Re: Articles For New IMAC Site

A thread with respect to the Can-Am cup would be appropriate I think.
A sounding board to develop and promote the cup will be helpful.

Re: Articles For New IMAC Site

I roughed out an article that I was going to send to MAAC and never finished. I'll dig it up and you can see what you think.

Re: Articles For New IMAC Site

Congrats Steve - your article is now up on the North Central Region page on the IMAC site. That makes two contributions from our Ontario group (Brendan and Steve) that have made it up on the NC page. I think this is great and we will have to find a way to keep some steady contributions up over the winter. Thanks guys.

Re: Articles For New IMAC Site

Pilots - looking for someone who could take a shot at writing an article for the NCFR home page on the IMAC site re Aircraft Set-Up For IMAC.

This would be targeted at new IMAC pilots i.e. what advice would you give new Basic pilots about how they should set up their planes.

There are many very smart folks who could give some excellent advice. I am just looking for someone who could put pen to paper and come up with a 2-3 page article.

That article has already been written many years ago by Peter Goldsmith.

Re: Articles For New IMAC Site

I think Rick missed the word "Gyro"

After flying the same setup for two years I changed bats this past season and screwed everything up beyond belief attempting to make it fly right again. Would be nice to have an article on how to start over again, maybe in the spring I can do that one.
