No dates or even a confirmed location yet for Calgary, but we will advise when we know.
Tenative dates either last two weekends of July or second of August. Leaning toward last weekend in July.

There's also Whidbey Island, although its not a Canadian event per say. Its about 2 hours south of Vancouver. Plenty of the West coast pilots and spectators hit this one, and its usually the 2nd to last weekend in August. This year its likely to be Aug 24-26, unconfirmed of coarse.

I'm really mentioning this for Alan's benefit, as he's heading up the Calgary jet rally initiative and a minimum 2 week gap would be recommended if the goal is to attract as many jet pilots as possible to Calgary.

Just think... A few short years ago, the list was just 2 items long. Quinte in the East and Princeton in the West. Evolution of the hobby at work!

Jeff mentioned that they are trying for a date in June for Bonnyville...
Are you looking for just purely jet events, or any event where there will be a number of jets in attendance....??

Tofield is being planned for July 6, 7, and 8th. Whether or not it is a jet event depends on how may jets show. The facitity will certainly support jets (75 by 4000ft paved runway) and has on site camping with overnight charging facilities. The airport will be shut down to full scale flying for the weekend.
There likely will be a barbaque and a on site concession run by a local service club. Tofield is about 1/2 hour east of Edmonton on Hwy 14.

Just a question here. Is the Maple Flag event and the Toefield event on the same weekend or am I missing something here. This is the model event that is being advertised, right.
I am asking because if we get an airport, in the Calgary area, I will try and stay away from other events at least by 2 weeks.

Moose Jaw

Another consideration is the Moose Jaw Jet Rally the third weekend in June as well. Although I stand to be corrected, as far as I know it is still a go as well.

The dates for Maple Flag and Tofiled still conflict by the way, but I will leave them since this a preliminary schedule until the dates get finalised.

Dates are based on last year's and they are only a guide for now.

Also if there is a website for the event I would like to add it.

All of our Canadian friends are invited to the 8th Annual Michigan Jets Charity Event. This year it will be held July 13 - 15th at the Grosse Ile Airport near Detroit. I'll post a link as soon as we get the website updated.

I'll see you guys at Jets Over Leamington.
