The blimp is meant to fly slow. Its an advertizing platform so you want it to fly slow and close to the crowd so they can see/read the advertizing!

Believe it or not, flying a blimp can have its heart pounding, heart stopping, exciting moments. Extreme aircurrents, ducts, heating elements, etc. can really throw you about! Get a small pin hole leak and watch the heart rate go up while flying over the ice or crowd, you have the blimp full vectored up, at full throttle, and it still slowly sinks lower and lower, either threatening to land onto the ice or into the crowd!

I have flown these blimps at many different stadiums and at various events, and its always great fun and honestly, its not allways as boreing as you might think!

Congratts and all the best. Have fun!

So far I can do a spin and get it sucked up in the cold air return vent. This vent is about 6' x 6' and can probably suck start a Volkswagon. I will be avoiding that part of the airspace from now on.
It is far from boring as someone mentioned as the tricky part is overcoming the massive air currents in the arena. The coupon drops are also a challenge as one has to deal with perspective from across the rink, altitude, dispersment of coupons and ballast. It has been a great learning esperience so far. Boring? not when you are flying in front of 6,500 people.
Of course safety is my first concern and I spend a lot of time to make sure things are set up properly before I launch.
Got another game to fly tonight. Chris, if you are watching cable 11, I will try to do a straffing run at the commentator in your honor.
