Going to Shuswap
How do you get Hangar Rash? Take 3 big Floatplanes to Shuswap in a 8' truck camper... That's how!!! Talk about procedures and fitting a square peg into a round hole... I guess where there's a will there's a way... Hope they get there in one piece....

Re: Going to Shuswap
Nice photos Rob!
I'm heading to Sandy Point next month and was wondering if the mosquitos are bad this year? The last time that I saw the water that high it was horrible, so I just want to be prepared. Thanks! Greg |

Re: Going to Shuswap
Cripes! At least 4 or 5 attack me in the evening on my deck. They drive me indoors eventually.
How does that compare to Grande Prairie or Alberta in general? :>) Seriously, 50' up from the lake on our deck no problem but near the lake in a campground setting they will probably be out, since we have had a fair bit of moisture. |

Re: Going to Shuswap
Thanks Rob. I would love to meet up with you guys one year, but I can only make it there when the kids are out of school for the summer. I'm affraid that by the time the kids are finished grade 12 Sandy Point will probably be a casino.
ss40a - 4 or 5, that's all it takes to drive you indoors?!?!?! Where do you live, it sounds too good to be true. We have it good this summer, but usually it's 40 - 50 attacking you. 400 - 500 on a bad year!!!!! |
